School Room

The John Hunter Hospital School is a Kindergarten to year 12 wrap around service catering for students social, emotional and academic wellbeing. In class, students engage in a trauma-informed program, aligning with the NSW curriculum whilst also working from their census schools.

Our highly experienced staff ensure students are still connected to home through collaborations with their census school teachers and further are provided opportunities to virtually connect with school through class robots. The education team work daily alongside the health staff to ensure the educational access for each young person is individualised.

Students' wellbeing is paramount in our space with teachers implementing a range of evidence-based pedagogy techniques to engage a variety of learners.
