The Butterfly Foundation

The Butterfly Foundation represents all people affected by eating disorders and negative body image – a person with the illness, their family and their friends. As a leading national voice in supporting their needs, Butterfly highlights the realities of seeking treatment for recovery, and advocates for improved services from both government and independent sources.

Butterfly operates a national support line, which is staffed by trained counsellors experienced in assisting with eating disorders. It also provides a wide range of programs for service providers and recovery groups.

Centre for Eating Disorders

Centre for Eating Disorders (CED) offers outpatient treatment, education, support, and referral services to children, adolescents, and adults with eating, weight, and body image disorders including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, compulsive eating/binge eating disorder and related issues.

Centre for Eating and Dieting Disorders

The Centre for Eating and Dieting Disorders (CEDD) is funded by the Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Office, NSW Ministry for Health. It is an academic and service support centre based in Sydney, Australia resulting from a collaboration between The Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney and Sydney Local Health Network.

Headspace

Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation helping young people who are going through a tough time. If you're 12-25, you can get health advice, support and information from headspace. Their primary focus is the mental health and wellbeing of all Australians. Getting help early is the key to resolving these problems quickly. headspace is making a difference where it is needed most - our young people.

Missing School

Across Australia, hundreds of children with serious medical conditions remain at home or in hospital, watching from the sidelines and missing school. Missing School is about helping bridge the educational and social needs of those kids and their siblings, who have special needs of their own, by working to keep them connected to their schools.
