Macra-weaving

For Harmony Day, the John Hunter Hospital School created a macra-weaving to celebrate the theme 'Everyone Belongs'.

We have used pieces of fabric selected by children from all over the paediatric wards to symbolise that we are all connected in the tapestry of life.

The macra-weaving will be displayed on the main floor concourse near J2 of the John Hunter Children's Hospital.

Harmony Day is celebrated on Sunday 21st March.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Awabakal people & reach out to those we have strong songlines with, the Worimi, Wonnarua & Biripi people. We acknowledge & pay our respects to elders past, present & emerging, including Birabahn, whom flies high above as an eagle, caring for country & waterways-we will continue the work of millennia old conservation efforts.
